historic ambiance, comfortable lobby seating, excellent lake views
A major watch out for slow elevators! ! Old furnishings don't provide the charm you're hoping for! The convoluted pathways to rooms create unnecessary stress!

The location was fantastic for exploring Chicago, making it easy to visit nearby attractions like Grant Park and the Art Institute. While the bathroom was a bit dated, I loved the historic vibe and my room was modern and comfortable, which made my stay enjoyable. Checking in was a little complicated because of the layout, but I had a great time overall, especially being close to so many great spots downtown.

If you're a pizza lover, don't skip the wood-fired slices nearby; they’re the real deal, and throw in some rolling hills of fresh gelato from Baskin-Robbins to top it off! Plus, the location is prime for exploring nearby gems like Cafecito and Mercat a la Planxa for pretty killer brunch & bites.
Could not catch some Z's thanks to all the noise from the street—12 floors up but felt like I was on the ground! A surprise hair in the shower, and a 30-minute wait for food that never showed? They tried to pull a fast one on my bill too. Still, I guess a little chaos keeps the trip real!

missingWrote a review on Oct 16tasty tapasconvenient locationhistoric lobbyweak water pressurecramped bathroom
Chicago's culinary scene stole my heart, especially at Mercat a la Planxa—think tapas that'll make you swoon. And can we talk about the location? You're just a stone's throw away from all the downtown buzz—perfect for who doesn’t want to miss a beat! Oh, and that lobby? It still boasts its historical grandeur, giving you that epic vibe as you walk in.
But, honey, the plumbing leaves a lot to be desired. My shower had ideas of its own—sometimes a trickle, other times nada! And don’t even get me started on those cramped bathrooms. it felt like I was trying to dance in a closet. Still, that Chicago charm keeps everything glimmering.
